In addition to the standard livestock shows associated with the Ak-Sar-Ben 4-H Stock Show, several other contests and projects are available for 4-H Youths to participate in. Each of these shows/contests encourage character growth and agriculture knowledge for those individuals participating.

This is done through contests held each year. Through written exams, speaking presentations, industry knowledge, species knowledge, mentor involvement and more, each of the youth participating gain a great deal of important life skills.
