The Miss Rodeo Ak-Sar-Ben Contest is open to young ladies ages 18-24 who reside within Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, Colorado and Missouri. Selection of the queen is decided by judges and is based on Horsemanship, Personality and Appearance. Morgan Marshall, Miss Rodeo Ak-Sar-Ben 2010, will be awarded a $750 scholarship following her reign. The Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo Queen Committee also pays $300 towards Miss Rodeo Ak-Sar-Benís travel expense.

2010 Miss Rodeo Ak-Sar-Ben Morgan Marshall
Morgan Marshall is the 21 year old daughter of Timothy and Cynthia Marshall. Morgan is from Malcom, Neb. and has been riding horses her entire life. She has been involved with 4-H and AQHA for several years and continues to give horse back riding lessons to youth. Morgan attends the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with an intended major of Elementary Education.
Aside from school and work, Morgan has been judging horse shows in her spare time. She was on the 2007 UNL horse judging team, where she judged at the Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio and the AQHA World Show in Oklahoma.
Two years ago Morgan competed for Miss Rodeo Nebraska, where she recieved 1st runner-up. She then later went to become Miss Sidney Iowa Rodeo 2008.
Morgan has loved every minute of her involvment with horses and wishes to promote the sport of rodeo and help youth get a leg up in showing horses. The River City Rodeo & Stock Show was great to attend, and she cannot wait until next year where she will hand her title off to the next lucky girl.

The Ak-Sar-Ben Rodeo Queen Committee works year round to fundraise dollars to support the scholarships awarded at the annual contest.
