University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) Extension Displays

Twenty-first century technology is on display courtesy of the UNL Extension, with exhibits like wind energy, robotics, ag literacy and entrepreneurship. Find these activites on the second level.

A beef lab will explore the world of beef production in Nebraska. Information will showcase the industry for both producers and consumers alike. A live steer will be used in the display which wil be located in the Animal Zone on the lower level. Don't miss these interactive chances to learn all about everything from computers to the environment and much more!

Purina Mills Animal Zone

The highlight of most everyone's trip includes a stop at the Purina Mills Animal Zone. Nearly every species of livestock - beef cattle, dairy cattle, goats, poultry, swine and rabbits - can be found inside this fun and educational area.

Visitors can get up close and personal with several different types of animals and can experience what sheep wool feels like, how big a cow really is, what they eat, and even how they smell!

Farrowing Display

In the Iowa and Nebraska Pork Producers Farrowing Display, you can experience the miracle of life! The Farrowing Display will feature daily live births of baby pigs! Watch as they take their first steps, see how their mothers nurture them and witness how they react to their new world. Located on the lower level near the Animal Zone.
